Why Nurses Leg Atlet Legs

Athlete foot is one of the most common fungal infections that can affect the human body. Also called tinea pedis, the fungus is found in many public locations such as gym floors, locker rooms, swimming pools, nail salons, and airport security lanes. In fact, all common floors where individuals can walk barefoot are a major source of fungal infections. Once a person's body has been infected, socks and personal clothing can store the tinea pedis mushrooms. Studies have found that nearly 70% of the population will have athlete's foot at some point in their lives.

Once obtained, athlete's feet can be a chronic condition, especially for nurses. Foot fungus grows in the warm, moist legs wrapped in nurses' shoes. All nurses will prove that the extreme amount of time spent walking during a nursing shift leads to "warm feet". This heat accumulates in the nurse's shoe and has few channels for ventilation. Nurses who wear pantyhose as a sock substitute experience heat buildup and moisture deeper into the shoe because synthetic sock material does not dry out the moisture produced during walking away from the foot.

The replacement of traditional nursing uniforms with more comfortable uniform scrubs has led to the decline of nurses who wear pantyhose. Socks have now become a nursing uniform accessory that staples. However, socks made from synthetic materials pose the same problem as the previously used pantyhose. To ensure maximum leg humidity, socks should be made of 100% cotton or specially designed moisture wicking materials.

Due to the large amount of moisture generated during typical nursing shifts, nurses should ensure that their breastfeeding boots "come out" for at least 24 hours and completely dry before wearing them again. Disinfectant spray into the inside of uniform shoes after every use is recommended to kill bacteria between usage. Having a pair of nurse shoes and replacing their use is a good way to let the nursing footwear dry completely.

Nurses, who are unlikely to lighten the production of heat and humidity in their breastfeeding shoes, it is important that the measures to control and / or prevent athlete's feet are done. These steps include:

• Wash your feet daily
• Dry the legs thoroughly, especially between the toes, with a clean towel
• Always use a clean towel and never share a towel
• Use antifungal sprays on feet and shoes
• Spray shoes with disinfectant and leave to dry before reuse
• Go barefoot at home as much as possible
• Avoid wearing synthetic or tight footwear that does not allow the feet to breathe
• Wear sandals to protect the feet from contamination in public places such as fitness center, swimming pool and public showers
• Wear socks made of 100% cotton or moisture vapor
• Wearing clothing, especially scrubs made of 100% cotton or unsuitable cotton mixture causes moisture to trap in the groin and waist area
• Replace your socks if damp, or at least once a day
• Stay at home, and especially the surface of the bathroom is clean, especially the shower and bathtub

It is important to control the legs of Athlete because this fungus can spread to other body areas, including the hands, mouth, scalp, vagina and groin. If you have Athlete legs, dry all other body areas after bathing before drying your feet avoid spreading mushrooms to other vulnerable body parts. It is possible to treat Athlete's own feet at home by using an unexpected drug such as Lamisil, Tinactin or Micatin. Other home remedies such as wetting vinegar or Clorox's solution also prove to be effective in some cases. In conjunction with the tips described above, it is possible to control chronic foot yeast infections and minimize discomfort.
